Huron County is advising caution for this upcoming long weekend.
Everyone is still being asked to avoid all non-essential travel due to COVID-19, as travel can increase the chance of spreading the illness.
A press release from the County says that visitors need to be aware that some residents are anxious about visitors from highly infected areas coming to Huron County.
In order to keep everyone safe anyone who does travel to their cottage is asked to stay on your property.
Anyone coming to the County is asked to keep a few things in mind, including that local stores, beaches, trails and many local services remain closed, remember to physical distance, all non-essential outings are discouraged, bring provisions for the length of your stay from your home community to help avoid strain on the local community, and have an emergency plan in case anything happens.
