South Huron council got a glimpse of a new development idea at the north end of Exeter on Tuesday night.
Developer John Knifton announced plans for phase 2 of his project on Thames Road, which currently houses a new gas station, a Wendy’s restaurant and a soon to be Pizza Hut.
Tuesday’s presentation showed council visuals along with plans for a 66 unit residential and commercial building, which would feature one and two bedroom apartments.
Councilor Barb Willard asked about the price of the units, and the answer was between $1500 and $1800.
Willard said during the meeting those prices are not possible for a lot of people.
The plans for the building include retail on the first floor facing Thames Road.
The project if approved by council will take between 12-18 months to complete.
