On Wednesday Monte McNaughton announced Ontario is helping apprentices and tradespeople financially.
$10.6 million is being forgiven by the province as part of their loans program which upwards of 19,000 new apprentices have applied for to get supplies required to jumpstart their career.
MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development said this is particularly good news for the local region.
In addition of the loans being forgiven, the province has put $10 million into a new Ontario Tools Grant, which will provide the same tools from the loan program to qualified apprentices.
