The Exeter Community Scavenger Hunt is wrapped up for the first year.
Founder of the event, Amanda Overholt, set out to put something together for her kids and the ones in her neighbourhood, but through word of mouth it quickly grew into a town-wide event.
Businesses, families and individuals set out to accomplish each week’s themed hunt, and it was a roaring success.
Overholt said for now the scavenger hunt will be on the back burner, but she’s more than open for others to keep things going, as she’s gotten lots of interested organizations in doing exactly that.
Gift donations also flooded in which Overholt delivered to almost 200 participants.
