The Ironwood Golf Club is having a good year, albeit an abbreviated one.
The course is in excellent condition, and most people are following the COVID-19 regulations put in place by the course, and the province.
Doug Breen is the Regional VP of GolfNorth properties, who operate both Exeter courses.
As for clientele, he said there’s been a balance of people not believing the threat COVID-19 serves, while others go the extra mile to avoid any interactions.
He says some staff will go out and talk to those not following the regulations and usually that’s all it takes to restore some order.
They have a number of protocols in place including limiting golf carts to one person per cart unless they live together, and extra sanitizing.
Breen notes they’re setting up a takeout menu for the Exeter Golf Club, and you can also order yourself a drink at both courses while you’re playing.
