A impaired driver allegedly almost caused a collision in Exeter…with an OPP officer.
Around 9:30 PM on May 15th, the officer was patrolling on Main Street north in Exeter when a car crossed the centre line and into the path of the officer’s cruiser.
Thankfully a crash was avoided, but the driver in the other vehicle was pulled over.
While speaking with the man, the officer noticed the smell of alcohol so a roadside test was conducted, and failed.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Exeter detachment to provide breath samples, and both tested over the legal limit.
A 43 year old South Huron man was nabbed for impaired driving.
