The YMCA is getting ready to throw their doors open whenever the Province gives them the green light.
All their facilities (including the one in Goderich) are closed to the public and their programs have either been postponed or cancelled due to the pandemic.
CEO of YMCA Southwestern Ontario Mike Ennis says they have been able to weather any financial difficulties at his point.
Ennis says because of the closures and the fact that they have not charged their members any fees during that period, they have been forced to do some rotating lay offs but have helped them connect them with government support services.
He says once they do reopen, the facilities will have equipment and amenities spread out with plexiglass throughout to maintain social distancing.
