Your birthday was last week and you forgot to renew your driver’s licence, are you going to get ticketed? Not to worry, assures Lisa Thompson, the province’s Minister of Government and Consumer Services.
She explains, licences that expired on or after March 1, 2020, have an extended expiry date until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thompson adds the validity period of other common products and services such as health cards, accessible parking permits and Ontario photo cards has also been extended.
