Racism is still very prevalent locally.
Last weekend Stratford Police starting an investigation into a hate crime after a series of messages which were disturbing in nature appeared on social media.
A photo of a symbol, which people associate with racism, was taken and posted to a social media website, and sparked a series of other inappropriate discussions and messages.
Stratford Police remind local citizens to report any hate crimes, even those that take place over social media.
