An anonymous reporting system is being launched to share information on bad street drugs.
211 is a national helpline answered by Community Navigators who help people find and access community, social, health and government assistance programs.
It is free to call and is available 24 hours a day.
211 Ontario is creating a program to create awareness of potentially deadly drugs hitting the streets.
Anyone can call and report a bad batch of drugs with unintended side effects, including overdose and Naloxone use.
Callers will be encouraged to seek immediate medical attention if necessary and to report concerns to Crime Stoppers or police.
The reporting system is anonymous…..No personal information will be collected, and the police do not use this information for investigations or enforcement.
This information is only used to keep people safe.
