The hot, dry weather in Huron County is prompting an open air fire ban.
Area fire chiefs issued a statement yesterday (TUE) saying the ban is being imposed due to extreme dryness of all vegetation in the area.
All open air fires including campfires, bonfires, and fireworks are prohibited.
Campfires for the purpose of cooking will only be allowed between Noon and Midnight everyday.
They say the ban will remain in effect until further notice and no burn permits will be issued during that time.
