The Brussels Optimist Club has pulled the plug on their annual dinner and auction event due to COVID-19.
The group made the announcement via Facebook and refunds or tax receipts will be provided to people who have already purchased tickets.
The funds raised from the event were to go to community betterment and four local hospitals in Clinton, Listowel, Seaforth and Wingham.
