The Municipality of South Huron won’t be allowing lion’s in the municipality.
At the latest council meeting council decided not to provide a bylaw exemption to two Sarnia residents who were looking into a parcel of land near the Grand Bend Motorplex to house their two lions.
During the meeting council heard a delegation from a representative from World Animal Protection who spoke in opposition of the motion.
Council also got close to 30 letters from the public with the vast majority against the motion.
No direction was given by council with only Councilor Willard saying that the exemption should not be granted, which means there will be no bylaw exemption.
