Bruce Power, Promation Nuclear and Laveer Engineering were joined by local MPP Lisa Thompson and MPP Stephen Crawford yesterday afternoon to celebrate the delivery of a new Reactor Maintenance Platform at Bruce Power.
As part of Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program, the Ontario-made platform will play a big part in helping them complete several Major Component Replacement activities.
The Major Component Replacement project was launched in January for Unit 6 and is considered one of the centrepieces for Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program.
Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Operational Services for Bruce Power, James Scongack says it’s teamwork that will help support the company’s mission in the coming decades.
Continuing, Scongack says that yesterdays announcement is just the first in what they are calling their Made-in-Ontario announcement series.
