High winds, flooding, and potentially a tornado….all of those weather incidents hit our region hard yesterday.
myFM was first on the scene in Exeter where Huron Street West looked like a warzone with tree and building damage.
Waterloo Street in Exeter from Main Street South to Carling Street was closed overnight as Hydro One crews worked to deal with power line issues.
Mayor George Finch said in a statement that staff will be cleaning up downed tree debris starting today and it could take several days.
South of Exeter, Lucan and St. Marys lost power and some trees and buildings were also damaged.
North of Exeter, Bayfield was hit hard as well with one business even losing some of their signage.
But the wind wasn’t the only issue, as in Grand Bend River Road was flooded due to the storm.
