Infrastructure in Huron County are getting a helping hand from the feds and province.
Canada is dishing out $7.6 million and Ontario is injecting $4.3 million into the Northern Communities Infrastructure Stream (RNIS) which will fund seven road and bridge projects in southern Ontario.
Bluewater will see reduced service interruptions and increased safety by replacing a bridge on Airport Line.
Huron East is replacing a bridge on Kinburn Line, and Blind Bridge on Abraham Line in Morris-Turnsberry is also being replaced.
Municipal governments are contributing more than $1.4 million into the projects.
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson is glad the feds approved the Huron-Bruce projects and says with the economic uncertainty created by COVID-19, infrastructure investments will help to kick start the local economy.
