A restaurant in Perth East has been closed by Huron Perth Public Health as a precaution.
HPPH said in a press release that Anna Mae’s (Mays) Bakery and Restaurant is temporarily closed as a public health investigation is being conducted.
According to HPPH there has been a positive COVID-19 case associated with the restaurant, but based on current information the risk to the public is low.
The owner is being fully cooperative and supportive of the decision by the local health unit.
Dr. Miriam Klassen reiterated that COVID-19 continues to circulate in Huron-Perth and across the province.
All residents of Huron-Perth are encouraged to do the following:
· If you experience symptoms of COVID-19, self-isolate and arrange for testing.
· Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly.
· Maintain physical distance of 6 feet/2 metres from anyone not in your social circle.
· Wear a non-medical cloth face covering in indoor public spaces and in settings where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
