The feds are encouraging Canadians to download a free COVID app to trace the spread of the contagious virus.
The COVID Alert app notifies users if they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
The government of Canada says the app doesn’t use GPS to track a user’s location and there is no way of knowing the user’s name, address, phone contacts, health information or health information of anyone nearby.
It’s available in the App store and Google Play.
