Local municipalities will be getting funding from both federal and provincial governments to help them in their recovery from COVID-19.
The Safe Restart Agreement will see $1.6 Billion be divided up among the 444 Ontario municipalities.
Municipalities in the Huron Bruce riding will get a share of $7.7 Million.
MPP Lisa Thompson says the money will allow municipalities to ensure critical services are maintained while protecting communities.
This is the first round of funding from that pool and Thompson says municipalities that require a second intake must submit an application by October 30th.
