Glen McNeil is looking to succeed Jim Ginn as Warden of Huron County.
The Mayor of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh announced at the last County Council meeting that he is putting his name in for the chair.
McNeil has been on County Council for 6 years and says being the Warden would allow him to give something back.
McNeil says a couple of things he would like to see as Warden would be to continue the effort to expand broadband internet in rural areas.
He says the other is to address the number of people who are homeless in the County.
Ginn announced back in July that he is not seeking a third consecutive two-year term as County Warden.
The only other name entered for the Warden’s chair is George Finch of South Huron.
The election of Warden is decided by current members of County Council and will be held at the first Council meeting in December.
