An initial investigation into the sound of a gunshot being heard ultimately led to three people facing charges, a large quantity of methamphetamine being seized and a stolen truck recovered.
It all went down on the afternoon of August 7th, Huron County OPP officers responded to a James Street residence in Dungannon to investigate a report of a gunshot being heard.
Officers arrived on scene shortly thereafter and through the course of their investigation, they were able to determine the sound heard was from a firecracker.
Also while investigating police became suspicious of a pickup truck that was in the process of getting a new paint job. A
check by police revealed the 2012 pickup truck was stolen from Oxford County in July and the attached licence plates were reported stolen out of South Bruce.
Also while at the property police located and arrested a male for failing to abide by his conditions of his house arrest.
Upon searching the accused police located a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine on his person.
35-year-old Christopher Kurth of Central Huron, 39-year-old Angela Bailey of Goderich and 40-year-old Jeffrey Straughan also of Goderich are facing a number of charges.
