The South Huron Optimist Club has wrapped up their major events for 2020 after they held their Junior Golf Tournament on Monday.
Held at Ironwood in Exeter, the Tournament was open for all children between the ages of 10-18.
South Huron Optimist President Rachel Skillen says they had a great turnout.
Skillen continues, explaining that they had a variety of safety protocols in place due to COVID-19, which forced the tournament to start later in the season.
The later start date, she says, was a welcome change, as it gave the kids a chance to wrap up their summer of golf.
This was the Optimist Club’s 10th year running the event, since their inception a decade ago.
Their next major event will be the Duelling Pianos at the end of April next year- their 10-year anniversary that got postponed from this year.
