Most of Ontario ended August on a cooler note but for the entire month, stats show the mercury was pretty much around where it usually is.

Meteorologist Gerald Cheng says the heat in July heightened a lot of our expectations.
Cheng adds early projections for September indicate it will also be near normal in terms of temperature.
