Bruce Power is partnering with BWXT Canada to refurbish Unit 3 that is set to begin in 2023.
The $55 Million contract will see the Cambridge based BWXT perform fuel channel maintenance on the reactors.
They also announced during their virtual conference yesterday (WED) that their first made-in-Ontario built generator for the Unit 6 Major Component replacement is being shipped.
They are also announced a collaboration with Isogen to do feasibility work on the development of medical isotopes.
Bruce Power President and CEO Mike Rencheck says the work through the life-extension program is creating jobs, and providing direct and indirect spending to stimulate the economy.
