West Perth mayor Walter McKenzie recently chatted with myFM about how COVID-19 impacted their municipality.
Fiscally, impacts were seen everywhere but McKenzie said that’s the situation everywhere, with municipal and community buildings forced to close for months on end.
One thing McKenzie was proud council did was approve temporary exemption to the patio and sidewalk patio by-law, which allowed downtown businesses to serve more customers safely, and council removed the required deposit.
