The Huron County OPP say they’re continuing to investigate a “fiery” crash that took place west of Mount Carmel yesterday afternoon.
They’ve been joined by collision investigators from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
According to police, the vehicle was westbound on Mount Carmel Drive when the driver failed to handle a curve in the road.
The vehicle reportedly left the roadway and entered the ditch, colliding with trees and ultimately catching on fire.
The single occupant was recovered from the vehicle and taken to the hospital by air ambulance, where they remain, with life-threatening injuries.
