United Way Perth-Huron is sponsoring research being conducted being lead by University of Guelph assistant professor Leith Deacon.
The research aims to identify how people are handling the pandemic on a number of different levels. Deacon says the main reason behind this is to highlight concerns specific to rural communities.
Anxiety levels have increased, and wide-spread doubt on the return of a pre-COVID lifestyle are some of the early results showing from surveyed residents.
Deacon says their second phase of the research is to ask the youth about their experiences.
