Huron-Bruce is the recipient of over one million dollars in social services relief funding to protect vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson announced last week Bruce County will receive $680,190 and Huron County will be granted $360,589 in social services relief funding.
The money is to be earmarked for emergency shelters, homelessness prevention, the provision of food and rent relief.
Thompson noted the province is working hand-in-hand with municipalities to ensure they have “the tools and flexibility they need to keep people safe.”
