As U.S. President Donald Trump watches his re-election campaign slip away, he did what he always does: took to Twitter to rile up his base.
He demanded states which are undecided to either stop, continue, or re-count the ballots. That led to supporters storming the counting stations and calling for exactly that.
Fanshawe College professor and political analyst Matt Farrell says parallels can be made between the 2020 and 2000 U.S. election between George H.W. Bush and Al Gore.
Farrell says both Republicans and Democrats have representatives, usually lawyers, in each counting site to oversee the vote count and challenge any discrepancies on a ballot.
