Ontario Student Nutrition Program-Lambton is receiving nearly $15,000 from Noelle’s Gift Foundation.
The donation will support the food costs of 38 schools, feeding around 7500 Lambton students every day.
Leslie Palimaka from Lambton Public Health says Noelle’s Gift has been a champion for healthy food in schools, committed to supporting Lambton students.
The Student Nutrition Program receives base funding from the Ontario Student Nutrition Program of 12 cents per student, per day.
However, Lambton Public Health says that, on average, it costs $1 per day to feed a child a healthy snack.
