To ensure the community can benefit from increased housing choices, Huron County’s planning department is developing guidelines for developers and municipalities.
The Residential Intensification Guidelines are designed to streamline the development process by setting clear objectives and priorities so developers understand what staff are seeking when reviewing applications.
County officials note, in order to meet housing demands, increased density and new housing types are anticipated.
And, the guidelines will help local municipalities and developers proactively meet those needs and diversify the housing stock in Huron County.
