The Exeter BIA is encouraging local businesses to take part in a new initiative as the holiday shopping season begins.
Following a meeting on Monday by the Board of the BIA, they believe they have a solution to encourage shopping in Exeter.
One night a week, beginning next Thursday, they’re encouraging businesses to have late-night shopping opportunities for customers.
They hope this might combat online evening shopping and provide something to do for parents waiting for their kids to finish sports.
The BIA also says that talk about longer shipping times from places like Amazon could mean local shopping is even more attractive.
