You’ve heard of fake I.D.s, but how about fake licence plates?
On Saturday, the Huron County OPP say they received a call reporting a transport truck and trailer travelling with a hand-made licence plate.
Officers patrolling for the vehicle located it on Thames Road West near Exeter.
When they investigated, police found the homemade licence plate, made out of paper and a magic marker.
Officers also discovered the driver didn’t have a valid commercial motor vehicle certificate, hadn’t maintained his daily log book and failed to complete his daily inspection report.
The driver, a 48-year-old from Grey Highlands, is facing multiple motor vehicle offences.
