Huron Perth Public Health’s Medical Officer of Health is searching for tougher COVID-19 measures.
HPPH added 6 new cases on Thursday to bring the total to 254, with 48 active cases and 14 deaths in Huron Perth.
Dr. Miriam Klassen has recommended that Huron-Perth move up from the yellow protect level up to the orange-restrict level, despite just moving into the yellow on Monday.
The reason the regions top doctor wants the tougher measures is the outbreak at Cedarcroft Place in Stratford along with a large number of cases in Perth East.
As myFM has previously reported Milverton Public School, and Shakespeare Public School in Stratford have seen cases….but now two schools in the Catholic Board have also seen cases.
Yesterday it was reported that St Ambrose Separate School, and St. Mikes Secondary, both in Stratford have at least one confirmed case.
The province will make the decision and myFM will keep you posted on if the region is moving to a new COVID-19 level.
