In an effort to inspire theater lovers to dig deep, three longtime supporters of the Blyth Festival have pledged to match monetary donations until the end of the year.
Blyth Artistic Director, Gill Garratt says the festival has received an outpouring of support from donors, so far.
Enough to pay the bills and begin planning for next season.
But more funding is needed to keep the New Play Development program running.
The matching-gift program aims to raise $200,000 for the pandemic-shuttered theater festival.
Monetary gifts up to $100,000 will be matched by the supporters until December 31.
Donations of $20 or more are tax deductible.
