The John Howard Society is another local organization partnered with United Way Perth-Huron.
UWPH provide the funding for an institutional worker to attend the Stratford Jail weekly and that is Courtney Cook, who explains what their role is.
In addition they act as a liaison to help inmates with their transition out of jail and keep in contact with their families.
Cook works individually and prior to COVID-19, would have group sessions in the afternoon on the day she was at the jail.
