Many rumors have been swirling about whether or not students will be returning to the classrooms following the winter break.
Avon Maitland District School Director of Education Dr. Lisa Walsh tells myFM that the news they have received is one of being proactive as a school board and being prepared in case a change in learning models takes place.
Reports from several media outlets have said that students are being encouraged to take all personal items home today as it is the last day before the break.
The AMDSB Director says that they will work hard to ensure that all students are prepared in case the government announces a pivot in education.
Walsh says the rumors are not concerning a short turnaround, as the Board has been preparing for all situations, adding the Board learned lots from the shutdown in March.
