Huron Perth Public Health has announced that the region has seen 500 cases of COVID-19 since December with 127 in January alone.
Currently there are 100 active cases in the region including 28 new cases today.
20 cases are in North Perth, 2 are in Howick and South Huron.
1 case is being reported in ACW, Central Huron, North Huron, West Perth and St. Marys…and 1 case has been moved to another health unit.
There are 8 long-term care outbreaks, and 2 retirement home outbreaks locally.
Long term care home in outbreak: Exeter Villa, Caressant Care, Fordwich Village, Greenwood Court, Knollcrest Lodge, Seaforth Manor, Spruce Lodge, and Wildwood Care Centre.
Retirement home outbreaks: Caressant Care, and Living Stone Manor
HPPH has announced that long-term care vaccines began in Huron Perth on January 12th.
