Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day!
The company makes donations towards mental health initiatives throughout Canada.
myFM News recently held a zoom meeting with John Steffler from the Tanner Steffler Foundation, Colin Haskett from Haskett Funeral Homes, and myFM Exeter General Manager Darren Boyle with mental health being the focus.
myFM wanted to highlight a great piece of advice from Colin.
Darren says when dealing with people who are being rude and using inappropriate terms when speaking with someone dealing with mental health that it is okay to ask for help.
John says education as well as reducing stigma around mental health are very important discussions that need to be had.
John says it is more than okay to show emotion, no matter who you are.
5 cents from every applicable call and text go towards supporting the Bell Let’s Talk Day initiative, as do views of their original video.
