A novice driver is facing an impaired driving charge following a police traffic stop in Clinton.
A Huron County OPP officer on patrol stopped a vehicle with no rear lights on Albert Street. The driver appeared to be impaired. During a search of the vehicle police found cannabis and a prohibited knife.
Following a roadside sobriety test the driver was arrested and taken to the detachment officer where more testing determined he was DRUG impaired.
Charges were laid against an 18 year of from CLINTON who’s been ordered to appear in court in Goderich.
