myFM has learned that the grant application for the new arena proposal from the South Huron Community Group was not nominated for federal review and approval.
The news comes a week after the municipality learned the same fate.
Both grant applications were similar and would have included a multi-use recreation facility with a single gymnasium, two multi-purpose spaces, a general space program, indoor walking track, and more general space.
The local Community Group’s proposal included 2 ice surfaces while councils included only 1.
