myFM has learned that the Canadian Army will be conducting winter training locally.
From February 19-21 forces will be training in Exeter as well as in Middlesex Centre.
Activities will include patrolling, land navigation, snow defences, and cold environment survival.
All activities will take place between 8 AM and 6 PM in approved residential and farm lands in Exeter and Lobo, but the public may see military vehicles.
No ammunition firing will take place, and the Canadian Army Reserves are using these practices to prepare members to operate and survive in cold weather conditions.
All participants will be practicing Force Health Protection Measures based on public health guidelines including extra sanitation, physical distancing when possible and mask wearing.
