Today is Human Trafficking Awareness Day and Deborah Logue, the Executive Director of Victim Services Huron County, reminds myFM that human trafficking does happen in the area, and that guerrilla trafficking isn’t actually the most popular tactic.
Logue, the Executive Director of Victim Services Huron County, cautions that since the trafficking is often romance-based, there are attachment issues involved among other things.
She points out that parents need to be cautious because the usual age of those who are trafficked is very young.
More details about human trafficking locally and services offered by Victim Services Huron County can be found on their website.
