A new fund has been established to support charitable activities in Huron County.
Developed by a group of business leaders in the region the Huron Entrepreneur Fund also aims to foster new
businesses and grow existing businesses.
Donations to the Fund will be held permanently, with grants made to charities from the investment income. The Fund’s capital will be invested in Community Futures Huron, which provides small business loans to enterprises in Huron. Community Futures, in turn, will provide a return to the Fund.
It’s hoped the fund which will be held within and administered by the Sunset Community Foundation will provide a model for other individuals, families, and groups in Huron County.
