More people in the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula economic region were able to find work.
According to the Four County Labour Market Planning Board, unemployment in the region dropped a half-a-percent from 7.1 percent to 6.6 percent.
The report says net employment was up by 400 in March with full-time work making up much of the gains (700).
The biggest losses were part-time work (-200).
They say the employment change reflects the positive recovery from the second provincial shutdown that ended in February.
The goods-producing sector grew by 2,100 jobs but there were 1,700 job losses in the service-producing sector.
