A local 21 year old is looking to purchase a tandem wheelchair bicycle.
Jaden Wood is a recent grad of South Huron District High School, and he lives with cri du chat syndrome which means he is missing a piece of the fifth chromosome and has some mental and physical delays along with limited motor skills.
His mom Nikki Hunt tells myFM that COVID-19 has made it difficult for the happy, fun, friendly people person to get out in the community.
She says that Jaden did get a chance to try a bike out recently and enjoyed it.
The family along with Community Living in Egmondville where Jaden lives started a Go Fund Me Page to help raise the $10 thousand needed for the bicycle.
To date over $8400 has been raised, and Jaden’s mom Nikki says the support from the community has been unbelievable.
