Thousand flocked to the London Muslim Mosque last night (Tuesday) for a vigil for a family who was murdered in an act of terrorism.
The vigil started around 7 PM and lasted 2 hours, and was filled with prayers, and calls for action against Islamophobia.
Leaders in the community spoke to the crowd about being resilient, and to not cower to fear or hate.
A call of an immediate action summit on Islamophobia was also called for.
The vigil also attracted dignitaries including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Premier Doug Ford, Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole and others.
A 20 year old from London is facing four counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
