Huron County, along with Goderich, and the Municipalities of Huron East and North Huron have recently gotten funding to install electric vehicle charges in Huron County.
The funds are coming from the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program which is an opportunity offered through Natural Resources Canada.
14 level 2 electric vehicle charges with 26 individual charging ports will be installed at various locations that allow for public use.
Huron County is also partnering with Wellington County to complete a feasibility study to explore the development of a regional electric vehicle charging network.
