After a long layoff, myFM has some local sports to tell you about.
The Mitchell Hawks are looking for a new head coach.
This comes after the team announced that Darryl O’Connell stepped down from the team.

Sticking with the Mitchell Hawks
The team has been busy signing and adding players.
The team brought in forwards Cole Lewis from the Huron Perth Lakers and Evan Dowd from the Stratford Warriors.
The Hawks have also added goalie Tyler Parr who has a 2.32 GAA and a .921 sv% with the Stratford Warriors last season.
The team is also bringing back Captain and defenseman Malcom McLeod.

The South Huron Rush are back in full force.
The local women’s team represents South Huron in the London and Area Women’s Soccer League.
Game one of the season saw the ladies beat Bombers – Belmont S.C.5-0.
Game two saw another shutout for the ladies this time a 7-nil decision over the Coldstream – Byron Womens S.C.

The Huron County Fastball League is back!
This week will feature a couple of games.
On July 27th, Wingham will travel to Walton.
And on July 28th, Brussels will host Goderich and Fullarton will travel to Mitchell for a game against the Junior Mets.
