There are lots of local sports taking place this week:
In the Huron County Fastball League:
On August 4th- Mitchell takes on Goderich, Brussels and Fullerton do battle, and Belmore and Walton round out the action.
On August 6th- Goderich will take on Monkton, Wroxeter and Mitchell will meet, and Fullarton will take on Wingham.
On August 8th- Wingham takes on Belmore while Wroxeter faces off against Brussels.
So far Brussels, Wingham and Walton lead the league, while Goderich and Wroxeter are tied for last.

The South Huron Rush are in action tonight against Taxandria S.C
The ladies are tied for first in the 3rd division of the LAWSL.
The Rush will host the Eagles-German Canadian F.C on Thursday August 5th.

And St. Columban S.C take on Force – Greater London S.C tonight.
The local ladies who are in the 2nd division of the LAWSL come into tonight’s action with a 1-3 record.
The area has 4 teams in the Western Ontario Soccer League.
One of those teams is the Exeter Masters who are 1-3 so far on the season.
The team is next in action on Friday August 6th at 8:30 PM when they host the St. Thomas Masters.

Elsewhere the 1-1-1 St. Columban A are next in action on Saturday August 7th against the Chatham Storm.
St. Columban B is in action tomorrow (Tuesday Aug 3) when they take on GCFC Fourth. The team is 1-0-3 on the season.
And the St. Marys Juggernauts have started the campaign with a 0-1-1 record, and they are next in action on Sunday August 8th against LS Croatia A.
The London Majors of the Intercounty Baseball League won their game against Hamilton on Saturday 5-2.
The 8-3 Majors host Toronto on Friday August 6th.
